What an evening! 🎶

Treleigh Community Choir joined forces with Boskenwyn and Portreath Schools tonight for a truly special celebration of song at St Andrew’s Church. Performed to a packed audience, the children sang their hearts out and rose brilliantly to the occasion.The church was filled with music, smiles and emotion — with cheers, a standing ovation and even a few tears spotted in the crowd. Wheal Unity had a lovely day at the beach to celebrate their literacy and geography work this term linked to The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch. The children made their own mini beach scenes linked to human and physical features. They then made cottages and lighthouses and joined them together with string 'wire' to recreate the story. COMMUNITY SPORTING SUCCESS…!

On Saturday, Freya travelled to Plymouth to take part in her first Taekwondo competition. She won a Bronze medal in patterns (a set routine of blocks, punches and stances).She then went on to win a silver medal in sparring (two x one-minute bouts). Her opponent was three years older and also five grades/belts higher than her! Freya entered as a member of Penzance Club which consisted of seven students. COMMUNITY SPORTING SUCCESS…!

In only her second season playing football formally, Daisy was chosen to play for the Plymouth Argyle U11's ADC Rep squad in the Pathway Cup at Plymouth Argyle's stadium, Home Park in Plymouth. The Plymouth Argyle ADC Rep squad is a select team formed by gathering the best players from East Cornwall and North Devon to compete in tournaments.Daisy was energetic, strong on the ball and used her variety of skills to pass, go around opposition players and effectively own the centre of the pitch.
