Last week a group of Year 7s took a trip to Sky Studios. So far this year 3/4 of the year group have attended this workshop as a way to introduce them to the creative industries and learn new skills.

From trailer making to editing to reviewing their own content, students took part in practical activities that brought the creative process to life. It's an incredible opportunity and the students absolutely loved it. Thank you Sky Studios Osterley.#thegreenschoolforgirls #careerseducation #mediacareers #studentopportunities #skyupacademy ... See MoreSee Less

Un voyage fantastique ! Our GCSE Paris Trip 🇫🇷

We have just returned from a very enjoyable trip to Paris with our lovely GCSE students! For several of them, this was their very first time visiting France or traveling on the Eurostar, making the adventure even more special. We packed so much into our time away. Highlights included taking in the breathtaking, panoramic views of the city from the Tour Montparnasse and enjoying a scenic boat ride along the River Seine to spot Paris's most beautiful monuments—especially 'La Dame de Fer' (the Eiffel Tower). We also experienced a stunning sunset from the Arc de Triomphe, looking out over the modern financial and business district of La Défense. However, the best part of the trip was the students themselves. They showed incredible confidence in trying out their spoken French, even at a basic level, and were exceptionally polite and respectful everywhere we went. Their attitude was the true signature of our school spirit and community, and we couldn't be prouder! It has been amazing to see the immediate impact in the classroom, too. Some students came back with brand-new, authentic vocabulary—like 'une fougasse' and 'un chausson aux pommes'—which they have already started weaving into their French essays! It wasn't just the students trying to speak French, either! Our lovely accompanying colleagues enthusiastically tested out their own basic French knowledge—even when it resulted in using phrases in completely the wrong context, providing us all with some brilliant, memorable and very funny moments! A huge merci to our wonderful students, their parents and the staff who made this trip such a resounding success! ... See MoreSee Less
