Good Shepherd Celebration We were proud to see our Head Boy and Head Girl represent our school at the Good Shepherd Celebration Service at St Anne’s Cathedral, Leeds. Year 3/4 Countryside Day Trip – 19.5.26The children in Year 3/4 had a wonderful day out at the Countryside Day held at the Yorkshire Showground. They had the opportunity to explore a wide range of activities which included creating land art, making pork pasties, learning about pollination and beekeeping and creating a fruit smoothie using a push bike. Last Friday, Falcons swapped pens and pencils for mixing bowls and rolling pins as we put our Design and Technology learning into practice by making our very own scones!After taste-testing and researching different flavours, the children carefully designed their own creations, from classic fruity favourites to cheesy savoury combinations (with a few more adventurous ideas thrown in too!). They then worked brilliantly to measure, mix, knead and bake their scones, showing fantastic teamwork and resilience along the way.Of course, there was only one thing left to do afterwards… enjoy them together y to celebrate the end of SATs week! Congratulations to our children, past and present, who made their First Holy Communion on Sunday at St Aelred's Church. It was a beautiful Mass, enhanced by your clear and confident reading. We are so proud of you.Don't put away your smart outfits yet. We are reintroducing our 'First Holy Communion Mass' in school on Wednesday 17th June. All our First Communicants, from St. Aelred's and St. Robert's, are invited to lead the mass, dressed in their regalia, to celebrate this special occasion with their school family. On Tuesday, Kestrels had a fantastic time exploring Yorkshire Sculpture Park. We looked at lots of sculptures and had the chance to sketch a few in lots of different ways.
