They joined pupils from St John Fisher’s, St Joseph’s, St Mary’s and schools across the Diocese to present their fundraising cheque to Bishop Marcus and share how they supported the appeal during Lent. The money raised will go to Catholic Care, helping provide vital support for disadvantaged children and families across our diocese. Last Friday, Falcons swapped pens and pencils for mixing bowls and rolling pins as we put our Design and Technology learning into practice by making our very own scones!

After taste-testing and researching different flavours, the children carefully designed their own creations, from classic fruity favourites to cheesy savoury combinations (with a few more adventurous ideas thrown in too!). They then worked brilliantly to measure, mix, knead and bake their scones, showing fantastic teamwork and resilience along the way.Of course, there was only one thing left to do afterwards… enjoy them together y to celebrate the end of SATs week! A huge well done to all of Falcons. We think they earned it. 🎉 ... See MoreSee Less

Inspired by Pope Francis' letter 'Laudate Si', Kites Class has been caring for 'Our Common Home'. We litter pick every day and spend our playtimes clearing the woodland area. Today we weeded our planter before planting peas and sunflowers. We will nurture our garden over the next few weeks and look forward to a delicious and beautiful crop. ... See MoreSee Less

Congratulations to our children, past and present, who made their First Holy Communion on Sunday at St Aelred's Church. It was a beautiful Mass, enhanced by your clear and confident reading. We are so proud of you.

Don't put away your smart outfits yet. We are reintroducing our 'First Holy Communion Mass' in school on Wednesday 17th June. All our First Communicants, from St. Aelred's and St. Robert's, are invited to lead the mass, dressed in their regalia, to celebrate this special occasion with their school family. On Tuesday, Kestrels had a fantastic time exploring Yorkshire Sculpture Park. We looked at lots of sculptures and had the chance to sketch a few in lots of different ways. We even got to have a go at doing some of our own clay sculptures! We learned a lot about how different sculptures can be made and why artists choose to sculpting as an artform. ... See MoreSee Less
