What a wonderful day we have had!

Today we celebrated our Harvest Festival, with our children coming to school in fantastic farm related clothing instead of their usual uniform. In return, families were invited to make a donation to our Corton School Pantry, helping us to support families within our own school community when they need a little extra help. Thank you so much to everyone who donated. We were also delighted to welcome our parents and families to join us for our Harvest Festival service, giving us a lovely opportunity to come together as a school community and celebrate this special time of year. There was even more excitement when a tractor arrived at school! 🚜 This helped bring our Harvest learning to life and gave the children a real connection with farming and the important part it plays in producing the food we eat.🌷 But today was also about growing something that will last far beyond Harvest. Our children have been taking part in a very special Corton community bulb planting project. They will help plant and care for the bulbs, watching and waiting as they grow over the coming months. When the flowers bloom, they will be used at St Bartholomew’s Church as part of the church's Easter flowers. Afterwards, the bulbs will be donated to Corton Parish Council to be planted around our village. That means the bulbs planted and cared for by our children today will hopefully continue flowering around Corton for years to come, creating something beautiful for everyone in our community to enjoy. None of this would have been possible without the generosity of the businesses that supported our project by providing bulbs and offering discounts. A huge Corton thank you to:🌷 Lound Garden Centre🌷 Sainsbury’s Lowestoft🌷 Fothergill’s🌷 Anglia Bulb Company🌷 Kings Landscaping🌷 J. D. Parker’sYour generosity has helped our children create something which reaches beyond our school gates and into the community around them.A huge thank you to our children, parents, families, local businesses, church and wider Corton community for making today so special. 🌱 Growing together, giving together and making Corton beautiful together. 🌱 ...
