✨🇮🇸 Iceland 26 🇮🇸✨What a wonderful 5 days the Neatherd pupils have had in Iceland! Lots of highlights like the immersive volcano experience and the Ice Cave walk at the Perlan Centre - the first Neatherd pupils to enjoy these! The Blue Lagoon is obviously a favourite for many, with its luxurious feel and complimentary drink and face mask! The stunning and vastly different waterfalls are always popular. The walk up Stora Dimon gives a real sense of what Iceland is really like, away from the tourists! The Kerid Crater and horse feeding were extras that the pupils really liked. Swimming each day gives the pupils a chance to experience Icelandic culture - and to interact with the local kids on the waterslide at Selfoss!! Always great to end the trip with a burger and chips at the Valhalla Viking themed restaurant, made even better this year with an ice cream from a local parlour! We were blessed to have Sesar as our driver and helpful guide for the trip; he was a lot of fun. The hotel was definitely the best accommodation we have ever had in Iceland, helping the pupils get decent sleep! Dave enjoyed his first time in Iceland, and is looking forward to coming back next year. The pupils have been an absolute credit to the school, whether it be going through the airport, in the restaurant or on the coach; pupils always thank the staff and are always complimented by the the adults who are helping us. So much is crammed into the main three days, the pupils show great resilience to keep going and make the most of their time in Iceland. Thanks to the staff on the trip, who have spent time away from family and friends, being so incredibly proactive to ensuring the pupils stay safe and enjoy themselves!
