🎳💙 Year 6 End of Year Trip 💙🎳

Our Year 6 children had a fantastic time celebrating their final trip at Ludlow Junior School with a fun-filled visit to the bowling alley, followed by a trip to watch Toy Story.There were plenty of smiles, laughter, friendly competition, and wonderful memories made together as they enjoyed spending time with their friends before moving on to their next adventure.We are so proud of each and every one of them and wish them all the very best as they prepare for the exciting journey ahead. 🌟Good luck, Year 6 – we'll miss you! 💙 ... 🍕 Year 6 DT – Pizza Making! 🍕

This week, our Year 6 children have been busy developing their food technology skills by making their own delicious pizzas from scratch!They carefully made the dough, left it to prove, rolled it into shape, added a range of tasty toppings, and then enjoyed tasting and evaluating their finished creations. ✨ What an unforgettable morning at Ludlow Junior School! ✨

Today, every child at Ludlow had the incredible opportunity to take part in a live webinar alongside nine other schools and the one and only Michael Rosen!As part of our poetry work this year, one of our talented Year 5 pupils bravely performed his original poem, I Am, live to Michael himself. We couldn't have been prouder! Michael praised the poem for its powerful sense of pride in our world and the way it inspires us all to care for and look after it.To top it all off, Michael described the performance as "terrific" and gave our young poet a huge well done! 🌍👏Across the school, children watched in amazement as they saw one of Britain's best-loved poets on screen, listened to his inspiring words and celebrated the creativity of young writers.What an amazing experience and a memory that will stay with our children (and adults!) for years to come. 🌊 5 Ocean's River Hamble Adventure! 🌿

5 Ocean had a fantastic trip to the River Hamble, where they enjoyed a range of exciting fieldwork activities linked to their learning.The children began by completing a quiz about the local area before splitting into two groups. One group created some beautiful sketches of the river, while the other carried out a river speed test to investigate the flow of the water.As a class, everyone then took part in measuring the depth of the river. Some children even enjoyed stepping into the water in their wellies to help with the investigation!We are incredibly proud of 5 Ocean for their excellent behaviour, enthusiasm, and the way they represented Ludlow so positively throughout the day.We can't wait for the rest of Year 5 to enjoy their River Hamble trips over the coming weeks! 💙🌊 ... We are proud of our girls who represented Southampton in the County Cricket Finals at the Utilita Bowl – the home of Hampshire Cricket! 🏏

It was an incredible day of cricket, with brilliant performances throughout. There were plenty of wickets, fantastic catches, and lots of runs scored as the team showed great skill, determination and teamwork.The girls battled their way to the quarter-finals before narrowly losing to the eventual winners – a fantastic achievement against such strong competition.Well done to every player for representing the school and Southampton so brilliantly.
