π 3 Avonβs Seaside Adventure at Hill Head! π¦ππ3 Avon had a wonderful day exploring Hill Head! The morning began with a welly walk along the shore before the children sat quietly and used all of their senses to completely immerse themselves in the world around them. They listened to the noisy seagulls, felt the cool sea breeze and carefully observed the natural treasures scattered across the shore. π£The children then became beach detectives π, taking part in a fantastic scavenger hunt to search for crabs π¦, shells π, seaweed and lucky hagstones. There was great excitement when a few lucky children stumbled across some fascinating Blenny fish and even Rock Gobies hiding under the rocks! πUsing the natural treasures they collected, along with colourful seaweed, the children worked creatively to design beautiful colour wheels inspired by the seaside surroundings. π¨To finish the day, everyone had the choice to paddle in the sea, jump over waves π and practise their stone-skimming skills.It was a lovely day full of exploration, discovery, creativity and seaside fun! π @finalstrawfoundation ... The children began their adventure with a welly walk along the beach, learning about the different parts of the shoreline while spotting colourful beach huts and taking in the wonderful world around them. π£ They also discussed how we can all help to look after and protect our environment. πThe children then discovered how to carefully locate crabs π¦ and learnt the safe βburger and scoopβ method for holding them. Afterwards, they became excellent beach detectives π during an exciting scavenger hunt along the shore, searching for all sorts of seaside treasures.After a quick snack break, the children returned to the beach for a creative afternoon activity. Using the natural treasures they had collected, they designed and built crab houses, created their favourite animals and even made museums full of wonderful seaside discoveries. π¨πTo finish the day, everyone enjoyed a little paddle in the sea π, jumping over waves and practising their stone-skimming skills.It was a wonderful day full of exploration, creativity and seaside fun as 3 Stour explored the world around them! βοΈ ...
