What an amazing Egyptian Day we had at school before half term!✨

The children looked fantastic in their incredible costumes, and it was wonderful to see so much creativity and enthusiasm throughout the whole day. What an amazing Egyptian Day we had at school before half term!✨

The children looked fantastic in their incredible costumes, and it was wonderful to see so much creativity and enthusiasm throughout the whole day. Everyone had great fun learning about Ancient Egyptian pyramids and designing and creating their very own shell structure pyramids! 🔺

Our Year 5 & 6 athletes proudly represented our school at the City Athletics competition this week, competing in the 75m sprint, 600m run, vortex throw, and long jump. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Year 6 Maths ✏️🔢

Some of our Year 6 children have begun exploring sequences in preparation for Year 7. 🏉 Well done to our Touch Rugby Team who proudly represented both the school and the city at the county event!

The team worked incredibly hard against some strong opposition, showing great determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day. They scored some fantastic tries, won several of their matches, and achieved an impressive 5th place finish overall.

🌿 Year 4: Living Things and Habitats – Playground & Friendship Garden Walk 🐛

As part of our Living Things and Habitats topic, Year 4 explored our very own playground and friendship garden – and we were amazed by what we found! There was a surprising amount of mini-beasts making their homes right here in our school grounds.We spotted lots of different creatures, each well adapted to their surroundings:🐝 Bees – busy collecting nectar and pollinating flowers🐞 Ladybirds – helping to keep plants healthy🕷️ Spiders – finding shelter and building webs in corners🐌 Snails – thriving in damp, shady spots🐜 Ants – working together to find food🟢 Green bugs – perfectly camouflaged among the leavesThis showed us exactly how a habitat provides everything living things need: food, water, shelter, and space to survive. ... 🏑 County Finals Success! 🏑

As City Champions, our hockey team proudly represented the city at the County Finals in Basingstoke this week.

The children played brilliantly throughout the day, finishing 2nd in their league with an impressive record of 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. They then faced a challenging mini-group stage, producing a fantastic victory that secured an outstanding 5th place finish in the entire county!

Beyond the results, the team demonstrated immense sportsmanship, teamwork and a genuine love of sport throughout the competition. Their positive attitude and respect for others were noticed and praised by staff and pupils from other schools alike.

We are incredibly proud of every child who represented our school so brilliantly. Congratulations to the whole team on a fantastic achievement and for being such wonderful ambassadors for our school!Image attachment

Throughout the day, the children explored seasonal foods and learned what makes a healthy, well-balanced meal. They then used this knowledge to design their own pasta salad in the morning.In the afternoon, the children brought their ideas to life by creating their own pasta salads, carefully following their designs before taking time to evaluate their finished products.
