Big Sister was born out of Women in Sport research and originally ran as a pilot scheme in partnership with Places Leisure, Places Foundation and Hey Girls. Big Sister was created and shaped by the âBig Sistersâ â by girls for girls, providing a platform for girls to use their voices and share their experiences to support other girls. It was designed to support teenage girls to engage and find enjoyment in sport and activity whilst creating awareness around the barriers they face during puberty and the impact that also has in their wider lives. In creating an eco-system of understanding and support through peers, coaches, and teachers, this collective effort is there to provide them with guidance and advice whilst keeping them at the heart of decisions.#thisgirlcan #womeninsport #activewww.placesleisure.org/centres/kings-centre/centre-activities/fitness-health/?utm_campaign=kingsbi... ...
