We've been historians who have investigated primary historical sources to find out about the first people to successfully design and fly the first engine powered aeroplane; we've found out about the first men to walk on the moon and even got the interview the famous astronauts; and we have also learnt how to be martial arts experts thanks to Mr Saunderson from Premier Martial Arts. Year 5 visited 'Let's Learn Moor' on Tuesday. We had a fantastic time up in Nidderdale and learned why the moors are so important. We practised fighting fires, learned about the wildlife on the moor, examined owl pellets, carried out water investigations, built a beehive and took part in a Mountain Rescue! ... See MoreSee Less
KS1 Trip to Thorp PerrowYear 1 and Year 2 had a fantastic day exploring the arboretum this week. We enjoyed a bird of prey show, met a talking raven, visited the meerkats, played in the adventure playground, had a picnic, saw some wallabies; including a cute little joey and we appreciated learning about trees; including a 250 year old beech tree! Did you know that spending as little as 15 minutes in nature can boost our well-being? It certainly was a feel-good day!
