Today, we had Steve and Sally, our very special guests, visit our school with their war memorabilia! Students got to see real items from past wars—like uniforms, medals, and letters—and hear stories about the people who used them. The children were able to look at and read extracts from a newspaper article dating back to 1939. They even got to see the size of some of the bullet that bombed Southampton! It was a great way to learn about history and understand the importance of remembering those who served in the war.Thank you to our guests for sharing such important stories, and sharing their precious artefacts with us🎖️ ...
