Year 1 have been learning about Alma Thomas this week in art. Alma faced racism throughout her life but her determination led her to become the first black woman to gain a degree in Art in USA. #BlackHistoryMonth @theBWCAT @CatholicEdLeeds
Year 5 have been looking at the relative sizes of the Earth, Sun and Moon. We used a tiny piece of Blu-tac for the Moon and a football for the Sun. We investigated how far away the Sun needed to be in order for them to appear the same size!
