Our Touch Rugby team represented the Redruth area at Penryn College today after their recent success. They were introduced to a new version of the sport, T1 Rugby, which they thoroughly enjoyed before competing in several matches; winning three, drawing two and losing two. With every team member still in Y5, things are looking very promising for next year! A special mention goes to Sol who was awarded the ‘most valuable player’ chosen by the Penryn College students. Thank you to Miss Howell for taking and supporting them.#treleighlovessport ... See MoreSee Less

🌟 Learning from the Best! 🌟This week, leaders from Treleigh had the pleasure of visiting Reach Academy Feltham in outer London. We observed the highest standards of teaching and learning, engaged in inspirational discussions with their school leaders, and gained valuable insights into best practices. We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity and are excited to bring back new ideas to enhance our own practice and learning experiences for the children at Treleigh. Thank you, Reach Academy, for your warm welcome and inspiration! 🙌📚✨#treleigh #InspiringEducation #learningfromthebest ... See MoreSee Less

Wow! 🤩 Where do we even begin?! Yesterday was an INCREDIBLE day for one of our Year 6 pupils Abdul, who was invited to LONDON to celebrate the Pupil Library Assistant Awards. He was selected as a finalist from across the country and recognised for his hard work and commitment to reading, his role as a reading ambassador with Reading events, commitment to his local library and promoting his love of reading. It was an inspiring day as we were in a room of over 30 authors and celebrating the work of pupils and the impact school libraries have. We were also joined by Michael Flynn from The National Literacy Trust who worked with Treleigh for the Libraries for Primaries and we are so grateful for their support. He is looking forward to working with the school more to support our school library and reading at Treleigh. We were delighted to meet comedian and author Russell Kane who presented the awards, what an amazing opportunity for all involved. A big thank you to Mrs Phillips who nominated Abdul and does such an amazing job of promoting reading at Treleigh. We are so very proud, well done Abdul! #treleighlovesreading ... See MoreSee Less

Treleigh success at the Primary Cornwall County Championships Ellie (Year 4), Quinn and Layla (Year 5) represented Treleigh, Redruth, and the Peninsula Area Primary Schools in the County Championships. They each qualified for their respected age category races through the Redruth Area Championships and following this, the Peninsula Area Primary Schools Championships. The Championships were held in Newquay: a great course and one that is used for all County Championships. All the girls ran superbly, holding their nerves, smiling, and running their own races to the best of their abilities. Results will follow soon, but I can confirm that out of approximately 100 children in each race, their position will highlight that they are one of the fastest in the county across XC for their age groups. Well done, Ellie, Quin, and Layla. ... See MoreSee Less

Recently, Wheal Raven have been involved in a project with The Writer’s Block and Kresen Kernow. At Kresen Kernow they took part in workshops about the history of members of the global majority in Cornish history. Also, they have worked with a local author and two local journalists. With the author they wrote about objects belonging to members of the global majority in our community. With the journalists they learned how to interview these community members about objects that were special to them and then interviewed the community members themselves. Soon they will attending a celebration event so watch this space! ... See MoreSee Less
