Shooting Stars have been exploring Darwin’s theory of evolution. The children investigated how finches’ beaks adapt to their environment by experimenting with picking up raisins using their fingers and sticks. They timed each method to see which was quicker and discussed why, making links back to Darwin’s observations of finches and adaptation.
