Join us for HowardFest, the Howard’s annual music festival and fundraiser - an all afternoon and evening event which combines school concert with festival atmosphere.

Taking place in the Lower School Playground (enter via the 6th Form gate), the afternoon and evening will showcase the very best of school music, from the Jazz Band, Orchestra, Chamber Choir and Pop Choir, through to soloists and student bands. We round things off with a crowd-pleasing set from the legendary Howard Teacher Band.

There’ll also be student stalls selling handmade crafts, baked goods, henna tattoos and festival face painting, plus food and drink from the Friends: a BBQ serving burgers, hotdogs, pulled pork & veggie chilli, a licensed bar plus snack stall selling candyfloss and doughnuts, soft drinks and ice creams, using local produce wherever possible.

All proceeds go towards new instruments and equipment, as well as funding other departments and wider school projects.

Tickets: £5 students / £10 adults.

Come for the afternoon, stay for dinner, and make a proper day of it.

As we continue to celebrate Volunteers’ Week, we’d like to recognise the fantastic contribution our Sixth Form students make to school life.
From mentoring younger students in Maths and English, to providing invaluable support in classrooms across a range of subjects, our student volunteers help others to thrive while developing their own leadership and communication skills.
We are also proud to see a number of our students beginning their training as Mental Health First Aiders, equipping themselves with the knowledge and confidence to support the wellbeing of those around them.
Their willingness to give their time, share their skills and support others embodies the values of kindness, responsibility and community that we strive to foster at our school.
Thank you to all our Sixth Form volunteers for the positive difference you make every day.

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate one of our former students, Anna, who was selected to represent England in the 3000m steeplechase at this year’s Loughborough International—a key event in the early outdoor athletics season, where athletes compete for form, qualifying standards, and valuable championship experience. 🏃‍♀️🔥
Representing at such a prestigious competition alongside some of the best athletes from England, Wales, Scotland, Loughborough Students, and GB&NI Under 20s is a fantastic achievement in itself.
The Loughborough International is known for showcasing future stars, with athletes competing on the pathway towards major championships such as the Commonwealth Games and European Championships, making this an incredible milestone.
Congratulations on a fantastic performance—we’ll be cheering you on for what comes next! 💙 #BringingOutTheBest #AlumniSuccessImage attachmentImage attachment+1Image attachment

It has been wonderful to watch them flourish into confident young adults, ready for the exciting opportunities ahead.
