We had a fantastic week at the Compass House pop-up shop in Leeds Kirkgate Market last week!Throughout the week, twelve of our students successfully completed work experience at the shop, where they sold a range of items crafted by students from various classes at the school. As well as providing invaluable work experience, functional learning and community confidence building opportunities, we’ve raised over £400 - which will be reinvested into further teamwork, fundraising, and enterprise activities here at school.Thank you to everyone involved and for all of your ongoing support.A special thanks to the Voice, Influence and Change Team at Leeds City Council for organising this fantastic supported work opportunity for SEND students across Leeds. ... Our Vocational students have been working on developing their science skills and team working ability by working out how to safely zip wire some willing ‘victims’ across the classroom. This term, a group of our KS4 and KS5 students completed a 12-week course titled 'Tech Skills Springboard', delivered on-site by UA92 in collaboration with Microsoft industry experts and certified training partners. Throughout the course, students explored key topics such as AI, Cloud Computing, and Data Fundamentals.
