Happy Monday, everyone! IB4 had a very busy week last week!😊For outdoor Ed we explored lots of different autumn treasures, we had Conkers, pine cones, leaves and Miss.Kirsty enjoyed showing us sycamore seeds or as you may know them helicopter seeds! We enjoyed watching them fly! We also went on a leaf hunt and made our own autumn frames.🍂🍁We made scrambled snake (stir fry) in our cooking lesson for our gruffalo theme, we also used scissors to cut up our snakes (bean sprouts…)🐍We have been working on our fine motor skills, doing lots of mark making and focusing on 'circle'.🔘Lastly we enjoyed doing rhythm sticks and doing lots of dancing to the songs! 🎶 #newbridge #school #Update ... On World Mental Health Day, CLAKE started with a presentation about mental health. 🧠 ❤️ Following the presentation, the students made some great contributions to a group discussion about emotions, feelings and how we can help ourselves if we are feeling 'big' emotions.🤩 The group decided that listening to music, talking to someone, drawing/colouring, going for a walk or dancing, singing or doing some calming breathing could help.😊 We practiced doing some deep breathing, the students were great at this.😌 We then did some mindful colouring and made some bunting with positive mental health words on.
