π£ NBLC π£This week we have a spotlight focus on two students at the Learning Centre.π‘ First up is Harvey. Harvey has been with us since September and tells us that he likes coming to the Learning Centre. π¬During his Annual Review, Harvey mentioned that he wanted more time in cooking. Harvey visited Hayley in the kitchen to talk to her about any opportunities to get some work experience in the kitchen. π¨βπ³ Hayley offered Harvey a job on the spot and from next week he will be working alongside the catering staff to help prepare food for the students. π Harvey was so proud of himself!π I think we can all agree that he looks really smart in his uniform. π§’Good luck, Harvey, and well done! π #newbridge#learningcentre#Update... π₯Miss Begumβs class has been exploring the topic of βPeople Who Help Us in the Communityβ as part of their Living Skills lessons. π °οΈπ ±οΈ7οΈβ£What a fabulous first week AB7 have had!π€© In Cooking we made a Swiss role, this entailed using the hand whisk and all students followed instructions and direction to keep everyone safe! The Swiss roll we made has got to go down in history as the biggest Swiss roll ever made it was HUGE!! π€© In Accessing The Community, we accessed The Hut where we made bird feeders with pipe cleaners and multigrain hoops working on using our fine motor skills and then we hung them on the trees for the birds. We then finished off with a little sing song in the Hut which was super fun!!πΆ In Art the group and Miss Mullen made an outstanding collage created with flowers and this is now taking pride of place on the displays around the school. πΈ And lastly my highlight of the week was AB7 joining AB2 outside on the playground with Miss Wilson for P.E joining in a bit of Zumba. The studentsβ dance moves were incredible and it brought so many smiles; the staffs dance moves weren't bad either!π Have a lovely weekend, everyone.πLove the AB7 Team β€οΈ#newbridge #school #Update ...
